Jan is a Cultural Capital Producer. With Teunen Konzepte GmbH he has been supporting businesses for many years in further expanding their corporate culture by way of innovative and restorative concepts, thereby increasing their value and shaping society. The strategies and communication measures employed by him typically lead to an increase in internal motivation, creativity and productivity. Among his clients are companies and brands, such as BASF, Bene, CID, circ, FSB, Grohe, Messe Frankfurt, Nestlé, Objektform and Thonet.

His editorial work has resulted in many publications. The 2005 title “Form: Ethik – Ein Brevier für Gestalter” was co-authored together with Hajo Eickhoff, garnering awards by Stiftung Buchkunst and Type Directors Club of New York. In 2006, AIGA honored it as one of the most beautiful books in the US. Teunen is part of the board of trustees of Hochschule für Kunst und Design Burg Giebichenstein in Halle (Saale) and is in high demand as an academic lecturer both in Germany and abroad.

 

He is married and a father of two. He has been working and living at Schloss Johannisberg, Rheingau, since 1977, a place that also holds his extensive contemporary art collection. He has been a patron of the arts and a sponsor for many years, lately of Peter Spiegel’s book “Faktor Mensch – Ein humanes Weltwirtschaftswunder ist möglich,” and the Mail Art project “Draw me a Terrorist.”

 

Since 2006, Jan has been a supervisory board member of Fuenfwerken Design AG.
