With its original kettle grill and many other products, Weber has revolutionized the world of grilling. We were commissioned to create a POS environment showcasing the boundless diversity of “Weber`s Way of Grilling”, thus extending its operative business into the B2C segment. Up to that point Weber had only been active in the B2B field. As a pioneer and enabler of a new BBQ culture Weber wanted to inspire its visitors with a genuine BBQ experience in the middle of Berlin and to showcase its extensive product line and know-how. Brand experience and sales were to be considered as a whole.
Idea and Implementation
In a generous space of 500 m2 right at Berlin`s Hackescher Markt, Weber invites BBQ fans to discover the unique presentation of its entire product range, the history behind the kettle grill, and the “Weber Way of Grilling.” Here, the brand unfolds as an attractive environment featuring interesting materials, numerous connectional details, contrasting interior design elements, and – as a highlight – the Weber Grillakademie. Its courses offer recreational BBQ chefs a chance to learn from the best.
In time for the start of the BBQ season, the store opened its doors in spring, 2014. Within only a few weeks, visitor numbers surpassed by a wide margin even the most optimistic expectations. 5W was material in the store`s conceptual and interior design, as consultant and in overseeing the entire development and production process of a turn-key solution for Weber-Stephen.
The special highlight of the Store: Its integrated Grillakademie.
