Two times Silver at the Annual Multimedia Award
17. November 2017
Very good news from this year’s Annual Multimedia Award, where we won two silver awards with our projects 5pace (category Terminal/Installation) and the VR installation Clariant – Color Galaxy (category Event/Game).
5pace is a brand-new and versatile workshop space situated over the roofs of Berlin and conceived to make visions come true. The entire digital branding of the room was created in a record time. 32 experts boasting 5 different competences (Scrum Master – strategists, copywriters, film-makers, photographers, designers and programmers) co-created cooperatively and concentrated for 10 hours – bringing to life a wonderful result. The new website was conveyed by the enthusiastic applause when presented to the invited guests in the evening. A great experiment that shows what can be achieved when a vision is pursued together and freed from routines in “creative weightlessness”.
For this year’s European Coatings Show, the world’s largest trade fair for coatings, paints and pigments, Clariant commissioned us to design and implement a virtual reality world. The route was clear from the very beginning: away from information overloaded showcases and small product samples to a real experience. Our solution: By using virtual reality, we dragged visitors into a color galaxy where they were ought to create their own canvas in the form of the Clariant trademark and then color it using virtual spray cans, magic paint balls and color supernoven. The users’ amazement confirmed that the immersive experience really catapulted them from a booth into the infinite expanse of the Clariant universe.
The Annual Multimedia Award has defined the state of the art since 1996 and highlights trends in digital marketing and multimedia design.
