Disruptive Identities in 5pace
26. April 2019
During the Gallery Weekend from April 26-28, 2019, Berlin morphed into a giant exhibition. The art world opened its doors. As a location for co-creation and events, 5pace by design agency Fuenfwerken took the opportunity to organize a real exhibition highlight at Paul Lincke Ufer 42 in Berlin’s Kreuzberg district – DISRUPTING IDENTITY.
A total of eleven exciting international artists presented their positions on the subject. They included Tobias Hantmann, Benedikt Hipp, Britta Lumer, Martin Mannig, Christine Moldrickx, Rainer Neumeier, Manfred Peckl, Patricia Reinhart, Helga Schmidhuber, Holger Schmidhuber and Christian Schwarzwald. The private view took place on Friday, April 26.
On Saturday, April 27, 5pace hosted a panel discussion, “Art world 2019: State of disruption (by technology),” where guests discussed the influence of technology on the art world. We would like to thank Onika Simon, Jonas Almgren, Marek Claaßen and Walter Yu for the lively, stimulating discussion.
On Saturday evening, DISRUPTING IDENTITY was rounded out by a jazz punk performance by Die!Landschaft with Andreas Schlaegel on drums and the exhibiting artist Manfred Peckl on vocals.
