ISUZU receives award at the Automotive Brand Contest 2017

At this year’s Automotive Brand Contest, 5Werke was once again able to fully exploit its strengths in the field of brand development. In the category Brand Design, the comprehensive communication strategy was awarded, which repositioned the ISUZU D-MAX in an authentic and appealing way as a robust work vehicle for commercial customers. The award in the Digital category proves that this brand design works particularly well in the digital media. This makes us particularly proud, given that it was created for a campaign that should not have existed. For the photo shoot for the new D-MAX campaign, an available vehicle was missing. The new D-MAX had not yet been shipped to Germany and the models in Thailand, the country of domestic production, were unsuitable for the German market. The solution? An “old” vehicle that had been in commercial use for several years and thus would be the perfect testimonial for the advertised longevity was sought. The highlight? All D-MAX owners were invited to join in and tell their story online. This not only provided ISUZU with a loyal community and authentic content, but also spread the news of the introduction of the new D-MAX.
The Automotive Brand Contest is one of the most important international design competitions for automobile brands. It awards outstanding product and communication design ideas in different categories. The link between brand and brand design in the automotive industry is of fundamental importance.
